Windows 7 speech recognition background noise adaptation RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are using sapi 5.4 for speech synthesis. On windows XP the background noise adaptation can be set to off on the users speech profile. Since this feature is not avaliable on windows 7 speech profiles we are attempting to set background noise adaptation to off programatically in vb6 using sapi 5.4.

We are using speech to manage structured data input into a web application. Users are not dictating or giving commands to the operating system.

Any help for setting background noise setting will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Vaibhav
