  • Question

  • Hi all, I have exchange 2007 SP3 + RUP 2 Installed. Recently we have observed that the console is opening very slowly. We have less number of recipients in exchange. We have higher end hardware and enough disk space and memory available Regards, Avinash

  • Hi Avinash,

Please log on to Exchange server using another Exchange admin to open EMC to test.

If possible, please install the Management Tool on a client to test.

  • Try to change the number of displayed reciepients that are displayed when opening the management console. Default I believe is 1000, try 10.

We have only 300 recipients, as already communicated.

  • What if you do change to 10, is there any change?

Any reason why you're not on RU3?

Below applies to Exchange2010, may be relevant to 2007 too.

  • How slow is "very slowly"?  What you describe isn't unusual.

  • Hi Avinash,

Generally opening EMC takes some time to open and its very hard to advise you if there is no error. Meanwhile disable CRL Checking in server could help you.
