I have tried all conventional ways to resolve crashing of IE RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Sir/Madam,

The moment I open Internet Explorer it crashes. I have tried to:

    1. Re-install Internet Explorer

    2. Run Windows Updates and searched manually on google for an updated version to install

    3. After installing new version (which crashed again), I ran the no add-ons version of IE but still crashed

    4. I checked for malware using Microsoft proprietary software online AND the Windows Security Essentials

    5. After deleting whatever malware, spyware, viruses and trojans etc, my IE still crashed. So I reset all IE settings but in vain.

I have tried all 5 solutions and my IE still crashes...

Can someone please provide me a substantive solution??

2 What Operating System have you?

3.How long have you had this particular problem for?

4.Have you received any Error messages?

5.Have you checked in Event Viewer?

    Type eventvwr in search.
Go to the Windows Logs > Application in the left hand column.
Note anything in red that relates to the CURRENT Internet Explorer crashing problem.
Please record the Event ID, and the Source Code.

  • Hi,

You can boot into Clean Boot and Safe Mode with networking to see how it works.

In addition, you can run ShellExView to disable all the plug-ins.

    Run ShellExView

    ============

    1. Please download the ShellExView to the Desktop from the following link:

    2. Right-click the shexview.zip file.

    3. Extract the ZIP file.

    4. Double click shexview.exe.

    5. Run the program and scan the computer.

    6. Please press "Ctrl" on the keyboard and click all items which are marked in pink in the list.

    7. Please choose all items and click "File" then "Save selected Items". (For example: File Name: ShellExView, Save as type: HTML File-Horizontal(*.htm;*.html))

    8. Please choose "File" then "Disable Selected Items".

    9. Quit and restart the computer to check the issue again.

    Hope this helps.
