.exe files wont run RRS feed

    Anytime I try to run a .exe extension I could the open with... box. I do not know what to choose. I would like to use a restore point but for some reason I seem to have only one restore point and it is from yesterday... so it will not solve said issue. Now it seems that all of the programs will open when I select run as administrator, but I shouldn't have to since I am the administrator and also it won't run programs open as technically "third party". Example I was trying to play The Old Republic. I can open the launcher but when I hit play on the launcher I cannot select "play as administrator" so it will not open. I could really use some help. Very irritating. Alas I have no viruses and I have never adjusted my registry so I am befuddled as to how this problem even arised.
