Windows Installer version 3.1.4000.2435 as prerequisite to install SCCM 2012 on a Windows 7 Enterprise 64Bits workstation ?

  Normally any software versions specified are the minimum required and as Windows 7 comes with version of 5.0 of Windows Installer by default so no separate installation should be necessary.

  Hi,

  It is listed as an requirements, the SCCM client will install anyway but you should deploy it to all clients if they are not up to date already to avoid known problems and have full functionality. Note that it is the minimum version.. so all later versions are Ok,,which means that your Windows 7 is without any update. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682042.aspx
