The Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service terminated unexpected. Build 10130 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Every time I attempt to edit the Virtual Switch Manager the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management fails with:

    Event ID: 7034 The Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management service terminated unexpectedly.  It has done this 1 time(s).

    Only started with build 10130

  • Within one month Windows 10 goes RTM, so...

    Telling the truth I was trying some fixes before installing 10147:

    http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-029916.htm

    http://codedbeard.com/win-10-build-10130-hyper-v-adapter-issue/

    Before restart I've updated to 10147, so I can't say if virtual switches work thanks to the fixes or to 10147...

    However IMHO it's the second one

    Any other clues in the other logs?  If necessary you could add some tracing.  Evidently there are lots of possibilities on that tack:

    PS>netsh trace show providers | out-string -stream | where {$_.contains("Hyper")}
    {52FC89F8-995E-434C-A91E-199986449890}  Hypervisor Trace

    BTW I took some time trying to figure out how to sort that in PowerShell and decided it wasn't worth the effort.  If you want to see a sorted list use a cmd window version of the same pipeline and end it with  | sort  /+40
