SCOM error when adding Monitoring Wizard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

My customer is unable to create an AVIcode Monitoring item when opening the Operations Console from his client machine. He receives an error (see screenshot).

Sorry, it's in Chinese, but the error message indicates that the account has insufficient permissions. This happens for all "Add Monitoring Wizard" for the "Enterprise" (AVIcode) templates. The other templates have no problem.

However, if he remotes into the SCOM server using the same account, he can add a new monitoring wizard successfully for all of the templates.

Where should we start checking the permissions?

    Thanks,

    David

  • Hi,

to make Ops Mgr console work with .NET Management Pack, you need to install "UI components" using .NET Management Pack installer package. By default, they get installed on the server, but you still have to run .NET MP installer on every machine where you are planning to use Ops Mgr console with .NET MP views/templates (make sure to install UI components only  - uncheck SEViewer and MP components)
