Change Email Address of a user in project server 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
How can I change the email address of a Manager user to transfer the email notification to his Assist's email box, I don't want to use "Assignment Owner" field -  where Assist will update tasks 'On behalf Of' his Manager,
How can assist get all emails notifications Directly in his email box- for any task assigned to the Manager ?
    Thanks

  • Hi Mafab,

Why not asking the manager to create a transfer rule directly in his mailbox, based on the sender adress? This would be easier.

Are you using the AD sync? In this case you cannot change the email adress since it is inherited from the AD.

    Hope this helps,

  • Hi mafab,

You can do it via PowerShell/PSI:

#WebServiceProxy for Security web service of PSI
    $c = Get-Credential
    $pwaServiceAssembly = New-WebServiceProxy -uri "https://<severurl>/PWA/_vti_bin/PSI/Resource.asmx?wsdl" -credential $c

    #RES_UID for the Resource
    $resUid = [GUID]("10d5bb7b-6783-e311-9407-00155d0a0b12")

#Calling the Read Group method from security class

    $resDs = $pwaServiceAssembly.ReadResource($resUid)
    $pwaServiceAssembly.CheckOutResources($resUid)

    $resDs.Resources[0].WRES_EMAIL = "test@mail.com"

    $pwaServiceAssembly.UpdateResources($resDs, $false, $true);

If you have activated the resource sync this property gets overwritten with the next sync.

    Kind regards,

    Trutz
