  • Hi sherif888.

Read the guided walk-through provided by the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 10164 and use the Windows Update Troubleshooter.
If the problem is related to a small set of updates, you can download the installation package for each of them either from the Microsoft Download Center of from the Microsoft Update Catalog and manually execute the installation as administrator.

    Bye.

  • Hi,

    Here are several questions:

    1. Which update did you install? Have you tried to download them from Windows Update Catalog ?

    2. At which part did the update fail, download/install/configeration?

Since we know less about the issue, here are some general methods to help troubleshoot:

    1. Run the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) by taking following these steps:

1.1 Open an administrative Command Prompt window.

1.2 Type following command and then press Enter.

               sfc /scannow

1.3 After the scan is finished, try to install updates again.

    2. Reset the Windows Update Components, please refer the following link.

How do I reset Windows Update components?

       https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/971058/how-do-i-reset-windows-update-components

3.Go to services.msc  and find BITS  service  , Windows Update service and Cryptographic Service, stop them. Then open Windows Explorer and navigate to “C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution”,”C:\Windows\System32\catroot2”

Delete all the contents in these two folders. (Some files may not be deleted. Just ensure to delete “Download” and “DeliveryOptimation”.)

    4.Run the windows readiness tool
