ALT+Tab too slow because it is waiting for display before performing an application switch. RRS feed

  • Question

  • When switching frequently between two applications, I don't need to see the display associated with ALT+Tab.  Since I know I want to switch to the last used application, I simply press and hold ALT, touch Tab, and immediatly release both.  The problem is, if I don't continue to hold down the ALT key for an extra half second while Windows displays icons and application selections, then the focus change will not occur. Instead I will be left where I was and likly start typing into the wrong application.  I believe windows should act on my keyboard input regardless of whether or not the video can keep up with my typing.  As an interm fix, is there a performance option I can set that speeds up only the ALT+Tab graphics?  (Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit)

    Thanks
