No_SMS_ON_DRIVE.sms and secondary sites RRS feed

  • Question

  • OK to prevent the Primary system from installing the SCCM Secondary role on the C drive I placed a NO_SMS_ON_DRIVE.SMS file on the root of C.  This is alos to prevent the system from trying to create a distrabution point on the C drive as well.  So, I also want to install the SCCM client and SCEP on the server.  With that file on the C drive will I be able to install the agent on an alternet drive?  How do I get around this part?

  • To control the location of the client agent, you need to use the CCMINSTALLDIR property. Depending upon how you are installing the client, this can be set in different ways.

  • That file has no affect on the agent.
