Clustering and Window Server 2003 R2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I thought I had seen something that  2 node clustering was supported on Window Server 2003 R2 Standard 64 Bit, but I can no longer find it as everything seems to direct you to 2008 now. Can anyone confirm whether this is in fact correct?

  • No, you need Windows Server Enterprise or Datacenter.  You probably were thinking about SQL Server 2005/2008 Standard, which does support a 2-node cluster, but it still requires Enterprise Windows.
