  • Hi

What are you trying to protect on your secondary DPM server? Any logs of interests regarding errors etc? Are you trying to protect some cluster?

I am trying to protect the primary DPM Server (which protects a SharePoint Farm and some SQL Databases)

I looked in the event log... is there any other place I should look for more details?

  • Look at C:\Program Files\Microsoft DPM\DPM\Temp on both DPM servers.

Accoring to you picture it seems to be an issuie with determen what information is connected to wich GUI'd.

Get back with info from the logs.

  • I have the same issue with setting up a new secondary DPM server, can't find any protection groups from the Primary.  Can see shares, Drives, System protection, but not seeing any PG?

Also How can you sencondary protect Clients?

  • Hi,

From the DPM console on the seconday, you click create protection group, select Servers, then expand the primary DPM server you should then see folders for "Protected Servers" and another for "Proctected Clients". If you expand these you should be able to select the servers and client you want to secondarily protect. Do you not see these folders or do you not see any severs or clients in the folders?

    Thanks,

    Marc
