MS office h/b 2013 OEM with Project Standard 2016 RRS feed

  • When trying to install Project Standard 2016 - getting this error which looks like it will uninstall Office.  Customer has purchased computers with MS office h/b 2013 OEM.  Can someone please advise.

  • Since 2013, Office applications use many more common code objects so these Office versions easily step all over each other. You can thank the cloud for this change.

    With that said, Microsoft is doing a terrible job at letting people know what is and what is not possible. For the very first time, Office 2013 and Office 2016 applications cannot be mixed on the same machine because they use the same registry keys and other common code objects. I would try to install Project 2013 or upgrade Office to 2016. Office 365 subscriptions are a great value and a lot less to manage on the desktop.
