WSUS problem Server 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Again!

I'm trying to set up an Software Update Point, but I'm having problems with WSUS. The Roles is installed and I've done alle the post installation tasks, even started it. But when i Try to Sync the updates with SCCM 2012 SP1 i get an error. I checked the wsyncmgr.log

"Sync failed: WSS server not configured. Please refer to WCM.log for configuration error details".

    I check WCM.log.

"Remote configuration failed on WSUS Server".

How do i configure WSUS? I know that on Windows Server 2008 R2 it was supposed to pop-up an Installation Wizard, but that hasn't happend to me on the Server 2012.

Answers

  • NT AUTHORITY not logging in is typically due to SPN issues.

  • That is the guide i've been following.

I've first made the shared folder, then I added the features (the IIS was installed before I installed SCCM2012. Added the features WSUS Services and Database (not WID Database). Launched the post installation tasks and I've set up the software update point.

WSUS is running on port 8530

  • Is 8530 open in the firewall on the system hosting WSUS?

Why use a remote WSUS instance in the first place though? WSUS, once integrated into ConfigMgr, is very low overhead.

I just installed it the way the guide told me to. It's supposed to work, but I'm getting errors.
WSUS and SCCM2012 are running on the same server.

My new error message is telling me that NT AUTHORITY cannot log in.

By the way: The Ports are open.

Getting same error as on the top.
