At my wits end

Question
-
I have a Lenovo laptop, it was running great, then one day put it on and it was very slow searching the internet, sometimes it would say,no internet, or this page must have been moved, but then it would go onto the page. I have done a reset, made no difference at all, in fact now it wont let me have chrome as my default, its just not showing it. I looked for solutions and one said to download these 3 items, I tried them but no difference, so uninstalled them. Most of the games I play, it will start to download then nothing, just watching the circle going round.
I think my laptop is about 2 old B50. I have been working on it now for a few weeks with no joy. Please move this post if in the wrong place. I am not technically minded, so if you can help me solve this, can you keep your words simple
Thanks inadvance

Hi,
Here are some methods for you to troubleshoot the problem.
1. Please try to update/reinstall your network adapter driver to latest in Device Management.
2. Please try to run build-in Network Troubleshooter (type Network troubleshooter, and then select Identify and repair network problems from the list of results.)to see if it can work.
3. Please try to use clean boot to boot PC into a clean environment to see if it can work.
Here is a link for your reference.

4. Please temporarily turn off firewall and antivirus software to see if it can work.
