Enable UEFI and Secure boot as part of task sequence RRS feed

  • Question

  • Anyone has a good blog post about enabling UEFI and secure boot during MDT task sequence.

I want to integrate it during the deployment of our new Windows 10 machines, we use exclusively Dell workstations and laptops.

I have cctk and could use a couple of command like below:

    cctk.exe bootorder --activebootlist=uefi

    cctk.exe --legacyorom=disable

    cctk.exe --secureboot=enable

    cctk.exe --uefinwstack=enable

    cctk.exe --uefinwstack=enable

  • CCTK is no longer supported, Dell now uses Dell Command | Configure.
    Dell Command | Configure

It allows you to export a profile from a machine with afaik.
A big limitation is that you will be unable to disable SecureBoot, that's by design.

  • You would probably need to have a separate task sequence to configure this. The change from BIOS to UEFI will be confusing to MDT.

Logs are very important. https://keithga.wordpress.com/2014/10/24/video-mdt-2013-log-files-basics-bdd-log-and-smsts-log/ Mention any customizations you have made.
