Office 2007 Sequencing RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

    I have just sequenced Office 2007 on our test server and everything went well. I have refreshed the App-V Client and I only see MS Word2007 on the desktop which streams quite happily. I dont see any of the other applications.

    When I check the client I see am getting error  3017 and 3098 stating it cannot load the OSD file from the management server  if I check the properties of Word and Excel from the client I am missing a source location for the OSD file (see attachments)

    Can anyone point me in the right direction of the error ? many thanks in advance

    Kevin

  • Hello,

    If using the Application Virtualization Management Server - it could be due to the fact that the OSD-path entered within the application properties (under the applications node in the management console) is faulty. Compare it between a working and a non-working application.

    See this as a technical reference;

    If you are using any other type of infrastructure -  please share more about how you created the package.

  • Hi Kevin,

    Daniele Tosatto give her some hints in his Blog. Check also the Client Log File to get more App-V related Error Codes.

  • Take a look at the ApplicationSourceRoot property of the client to control where packages are streamed from instead of hard coding the source in the OSD file: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc843817.aspx
