Windows 7 Links (Favorites) Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Issue occurring sometimes for users where Windows 7 links throw this error for some reason

This occurs on some or all of the Windows 7 Links i.e. will occur on "Downloads" link via Favorites in Windows Explorer

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

When looking at the shortcut in "Links" we see that the target is empty and so is "start in" so the shortcut appears to corrupt or break completely

We are using redirected folders and roaming user profiles

    Any ideas?
