WinTV-NOVA-S-Plus - Vista wont boot. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have the following problem : I was trying to do a fresh/clean install of Windows
Vista Home Premium, but everytime i booted from the Vista DVD to start the installation
it would stop after the loading bar and leave me with a black screen. after a while
i came with the idea to remove the
WinTV-NOVA-S-Plus - TV Card from the system.
after doing this i was able to boot from the Vista DVD and start the installation of
Windows Vista Home Premium without a single problem.

When Vista was fully running and after installing all the updates that where available
    i decided to put the
WinTV-NOVA-S-Plus TV Card Back into the system and the same
problem comes again, when i try to boot vista it 'crashes'.. its just showing me a
black screen and wont even come as showing the windows loading bar.

The tv card worked flawlessly under windows xp, so i dont think the tv card is
    broken

Does someone know what the problem could be and what a possible solution would look like.

    With friendly Greetings,

    Bjorn de Jong

ps: the system is a Sony Vaio Media pc VGX-XL serie Vista capable
