Private Calendar Reminders RRS feed

  • Question

  • We use Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2010.

Our public calendar is used as a tool to tell other people when they are out of the office. Whenever an appointment was added to the public calendar a dialog box used to come up automatically asking you whether you wanted to copy the appointment to your private calendar.

This was really useful as you would then get a reminder. But for some reason we no longer see the dialog box.

Has anyone got any ideas what is the cause of this?

  • Hi,

According to your description, I notice that the reminder worked well before but doesn’t work now.
How is the impact, one user or all users?

I suggest double check this issue by using OWA.
If the reminder works well in OWA, it seems an issue on the Outlook client side.
I suggest run Outlook under safe mode to avoid some AVs and add-ins.
Please try to run /cleanreminders switch command on Outlook to refresh the caches.
Please also try to re-create profile for testing.
If the reminder doesn’t work in OWA, please collect some related error messages for the further troubleshooting.

Since Exchange server 2003 has been out of support, I suggest upgrade to Exchange server 2010 or 2013.

    Best Regards,
    Allen Wang
