Newly purchased laptop, bluescreen problem RRS feed

  • Hello, i have recently purchased a laptop.
    its a HP pavilion dv6 laptop

    intel core i7 q720

    ati radeon hd graphics 5650

    6gb ddr3 memory

    600gb HDD

    (running 64bit windows 7)

     

    I have had the laptop for 3 days now and have experience the blue screen twice.

    Both times i was not running any high-end programs.

    What should i do?

    I was going to wait till the third time it happened to take back the laptop.

  • Yes, return it to place of purchase to correct the problem. You should not have any issues. I would request an exchange for a new unit. It's simple, this new unit has BSOD's, I don't want it, I don't want to know why, it's a bad unit. New one please.

  • To see the cause I have to take a look at the dumps with the Debugging Tools for Windows.

    Please start the Windows Explorer and go to the folder C:\Windows\Minidump. Next, copy the dmp files to your desktop, zip all dmp into 1 zip file and upload the zip file to your public Skydrive [1] folder and post a link here.
