Project Web App 2010 - webpage error accessing Project Center RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have had PWA up and running fine for quite some time.  Starting yesterday whenever I go into PWA and try to access 'Project Center'  or 'Tasks' I get the below listed error message?  I have tried this same thing on other users PC's (they are logged in) and there is no error?

If anyone has any ideas I am open to suggestions.

  • Hi,

I assume this issue is user specific, is that correct?

  • Hi

Hrishi....you are absolutely correct!  I tried on several machines with several other people last night and it is just me (the admin person!)    I have no idea what has changed on my laptop to suddenly cause this error but I will work on it and we can close this issue.  Our sharepoint administrator said he has encountered this issue with random users from time to time where they receive javascript errors when accessing pages in sharepoint and they never resolved.....but issue cleared itself up over time?

Thanks so much for your quick responses  - I really appreciate it!

    Hi Kellie,

Thanks for the update. Are you able to reproduce this issue, irrespective of any system? If issue is occurring on any system, then often issue is related to bad project plan or assignment.

  • I had a similar issue with one of our PWA users. He didn't have this problem in Chrome, only in IE, so I assume this was not specific to the user, but to the browser instance.

The following did resolve the problem: Tools > Compatibility View Settings > Add this web site. Probably this is just a matter of cleaning the IE cache.
