Calendar on o365 Public Folder not syncing on Outlook for Mac 2016 RRS feed

  • A user noticed on 5/29/17 that the calendar on our o365 Public Foldes wasn't up to date on their Outlook for Mac 2016. 

    On 5/16/17, I updated to the latest version of Azure AD connect and Outlook for Mac 15.34 (170515) was released, so I suspect it was one of those two changes that caused the problem.

    The public folder is NOT mail enabled. We do not have a hybrid configuration, but we did migrate from on-prem exchange a few years ago.

    I tried unsubscribing to the PF and then adding it back, no change. I tried creating a test user on the computer and then creating a fresh Outlook Profile, same result; empty calendar. There isn't an error, the calendar is just blank. Changes to the user's own calendar sync almost instantly. Enabled debug logging, but unable to find any events related to the problem in the log.

    For now the user is using webmail to access the PF, but this isn't an acceptable long term solution.
