Frequency for the Retention Policy Job on O365

    Question

  • Hi,

Wanted to enquire about the retention policy job run interval.

    1. Is it 1-week by default?
    2. Is there a possibility to turn that job into a daily job?

  • Hi Prasanjit,

In SharePoint on premise, these jobs run over the weekend( weekly). for the SPO that is official position:

Since the timer jobs are managed by Microsoft and no option for users to adjust timer job configuration in SharePoint Online, I am sorry to inform you that we don’t have a time interval list the time jobs services as SharePoint On-Premise.

We do not have any control over O365 and when timer jobs run.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa Chen
