This is getting frustrating!
I configured a Windows Server 2012 Essentials machine.
Using the connect wizard: http://{servername}/connect I was able to complete the connection of a Win7 Home Prem notebook via connection through WiFi.
Now, I installed Windows 8 Pro on that machine, removed the original computer connection from the server, ran the connect wizard
http://{servername}/connect and got as far as needing to enter User name and password and entered the info.
Then I get the following message: " Cannot connect the computer to the server because either another software is in progress, or, the computer has a restart pending. Either complete the installation process, or, restart the computer and try to connect
again." I made sure the computer was up to date and did restart numerous times and the same message appears when I try to connect to the server.
Have another Windows 8 Pro machine and tried to connect with the wizard. On this machine I complete entering user name and password step and the following message: "The server is not available. Try connecting this computer again, or for more information,
see troubleshoot connecting computers to the server".
My attempts to connect the 2 Win8 Pro computers was through a network cable and then trying WiFi.
I can join these two machines manually. I can configure "Map network drive". Just cant run sucessfully the connection wizard "http//{servername}/connect"
A Win7 Pro machine will complete the connection wizard.
Any ideas?
Note: in all cases the Windows version was 64bit.
