BitLocker Encryption Offload Hardware RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everyone,

So really this is a general question with regards to the hardware that can be used for BitLocker; I am wanting to find some hardware solutions that would offload the processing of BitLocker encryption operations to a separate device, I am kind of thinking something like a PCI-Express sup-processor kind of thing that would make it so that all those operations are carried out on that hardware instead of on the processor on the system.

Also I have thought about doing this for other configurations but wanted to get information on the process; I am also wondering if it is possible to allocate cores or even an entire socket, say in a 2-socket or more system, that is dedicated to the encryption operations that are carried out by BitLocker.

    Thanks for the info everyone!

Are you trying to find third party Processor to process BitLocker? As far from I know, there isn't  such tool/hardware that I am aware of.

    Best Regards,
