partitioning and grooming process RRS feed

  • Question

  • In OpsMgr 2007, there are partitiontables.  There is a process running somewhere to partition and groom these tables.  There are no SQL agent jobs.  Anyone knows where the process runs to partition and groom these tables?  Is there a manual way to run this process?  Where are logs kept?

There is a monitoringjobstatus table.   From what I can tell, it looks like the process stopped over week ago.    One of the event and performance data tables will eventually fill up and make OpsMgr 2007 unusable.  The iscurrent = 1 is not current.  It points back to July 11.

With the limited knowledge that I have and at this time, I'm suspecting KB926122, KB928365, KB925398 or KB936357 patches may have something to do with this dilemma.  I can't find any log or alerts to help me solve the grooming and partition dilemma.  The reason I'm suspecting the patches is because the day these patches were installed is the day the iscurrent = 1.
