MDT 2013 - Sideloaded App fails to run - Windows 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
I have followed the instructions for downloading an app from the Store for Business and then separated the dependencies into folders, leaving the unencoded licence and main .appx file in the root of the application folder. This is as per the following article: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn613830.aspx

I followed these steps and the app is available when searching for it in the start menu (though I can't find it without using search).

However, the problem is it will not run. I searched for the package using Get-AppProvisionedPackage and its a brand new TS using MDT but it doesn't show in the list.

When I pinned the app to the start menu then tried to open it but it sits there with the loading screen bar in the without ever loading.

Do the dependencies need to be in a certain folder format for each App? Eg I separated them as per the article by "x64" and "x86" but maybe it needs to be in a "Dependancies" folder then separated by architecture.

The app itself is "Collector for ArcGIS" if anyone wants to give it a go.

    Thanks.
