How to force upgrade lync 2013 to skype for business RRS feed

  • As I know, some of my colleagues has been using skype for business, while i'm still using lync 2013?

    So how to force upgrade lync 2013 to skype for business...

    You may try the following suggestions.

    1. Download and install the updates from Windows Update.

    2. Manually download and install the updates from the following KB.

    Note : You must install both patches on a minimum build of 15.0.4569.1506 (SP1). If you haven’t installed Service Pack 1 for Office 2013, please install it first.

    Obviously, Eric's suggestions are the preferred way. Or you can use WSUS to push the update down. But you could download the update to a central file share and then push it out to all clients using Group policy. As it is an EXE file you would first need to create a ZAP file to reference the EXE as another option.
