Unable to run Skype for business on windows 7

Question
-
Hi all , i am trying to install Skype for business on windows 7 its unable to open , i don't know if this might help but i am running Microsoft office 2010 on one laptop and Microsoft office 2013 on another , both are windows 7 and both are not running Skype for business .
My guess is that windows 7 needs specific updates to run Skype for business , just like windows 8 . Can anyone help me with the updates links , please .

Hi Admadbt,
There should not be any special requirement as it is compatible with Windows 7, I would suggest in office 2013 machine , you could do a repair for your office and check if that resolves. would that be you have any third party programs which is stopping the application to load ? What is the version of IE , you can go with IE 11 as the version.
You can also try Windows clean boot to avoid third party startup products

Yes we dont have any issues with SFB client running on Windows machine. looks like you are missing important updates of Windows 7 or skype for business client.
however, i would ask you to download basic client from the following link and test, if this works probably some issues with your full client and updates.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49440&wa=wsignin1.0
Following link is the one shop link for Skype for business and Lync updates, click on latest update link for download the updates and apply it to your client machine.
