Runas Command starts application from windows\system32 dir. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an application that I need to test under different users and security groups.  If I right click the application and select run as type in the user and password everything works fine. I have to do this a lot (many different groups with many different types of security), so I thought I would create some runas.cmd files to help in the process. But when I use "runas" from the command line it starts the application under the Windows\system32 directory.  The causes problem because the application dynamically loads assemblies in it's directory.  Is there anyway to tell the runas command that I want to run this application from the current directory?

Runas /user:domain\Test_ReadOnly_DEV "C:\applications\SmartClient.exe"  this causes the smartclient.exe to run under c:\windows\System32.
