Can Windows 2008 R2 MPIO support 10Gb QMC8142 Card? RRS feed

    I have about 28 W2K8R2 Servers with QMC8142 Gen2 OEM CNA (Qlogic) cards and would like to enable Nic Teaming in the W2K8R2 OS but no one seems to know how this is done in the real world.  I'm in the process of downloading the UCS ISO with the 1.3.1e driver for the QMC8142 and I'm told by Cisco that it should have a tab to enable Nic Teaming which is optional with the driver software.  Will I need to also install the Windows 2K8R2 MPIO option in the OS to allow failover?

    Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated,

    I was informed by QLogic that MPIO would only support up to 8GB cards?  Anyone please confirm?  I'm interested and need to confirm regarding failover on Cisco B200 M2 Boxes using Gen2 CNA OEM Cards that need to run failover or Nic Teaming in the W2K8R2 OS.

    There is no such bandwidth limitation for MPIO. Please check back with vendor what they actually wanted to convey.

    You will need to enable MPIO for failover.
