Polycom Skype for Business server phones Exchange url for Calendar and meeting RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have Exchange 2016 Hybrid with few mailboxes are in cloud. We deployed Polycom VVX Skype for Business phones for users and cloud mailbox users are not able to get their calendar information on Polycom phones.

On-premises mailbox users are getting their calendar and meetings information with https://autodiscover.mydomain.com

I have entered  Exchange Server URL for Cloud mailbox users as below ( https://outlook.office365.com/ews/exchange.asmx), however on Polycom skype login, users are getting "Calendar Service failed.Connecting...please wait..." but not connecting.

What's correct url to get calendar and meetings information for Office 365 mailboxes on Polycom Skype for business phones?

    Thanks in advance...

  • Hi Tek-Nerd,

The Exchange URL should be the URL you entered: https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx.

For your issue, I suggest you could try to login SFB client with this account in the PC, then check EWS external URL in the SFB Configuration Information. If EWS external URL is blank, it is likely that the autodiscover process is failing, you need to check the DNS records to fix this issue. If the EWS external URL does not end with “Exchange.asmx”, you need to change the value. Details about this you could refer to the following official document: Lync/Skype for Business client can't connect with Exchange in Office 365 dedicated/ITAR

    Best Regards,

  • Thank You Evan,

On user desktop, s4b client  EWS external url is https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx/WSSecurity

  • I have added same url (https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx/WSSecurity) in my Polycom configuration, however still not syncing calendar.

  • Hi Tek-Nerd,

You need to change the EWS external URL to make it end with "Exchange.asmx." as the official document I provided you said. Please try to do this and then check whether this issue could be fixed.

    Evan Jiang
