  • Question

  • I have a stored procedure which takes input parameter (managername)  and returns salespersons

input param manager name = Nick

branch , product , Scott ,Todd ,John , Jay (dynamic pivot columns)

input param  manager name = Rob

branch, product , Tom,Harry,Drew,Bob (dynamic pivot coumns)

so how do i go about doing that in Report builder 3.0 , cause my dataset pivot columns headernames are dynamic

  • Type the values in those parameters and it will populate all the columns, then go through the link I sent you to create a matrix report.

  • You can use matrix report to achieve that. For more details, please follow the instructions in the following article:

  • When I add the stored proc , dataset does not show any columns names as it is waiting for input parameter to generate a column name which is dynamic
