In need of DSClient for Windows NT 4.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello:

I am trying to integrate my Windows NT 4.0 machines into my planned Windows Server 2008 domain, but I am having problems finding a copy of Active Directory Client Extensions (DSClient).  I have looked on the windows 2000 cd, but it only contains a DSClient that is compatible with Windows 95/98.  I need to know where there is a working link for DSClient for Windows NT 4.0.  I have tried the link that Microsoft had provided in KB555038, but unfortunately the link is dead.  I understand that Microsoft is no longer supporting Windows NT, however I cannot upgrade these machines to Windows XP because of software compatability issues.  Is there anyone who knows where I can obtain a copy of DSClient for Windows NT, or if there is a feasible workaround that I can use?

The Operating System in question is Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6a.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I apologize if I have chosen the wrong category.  I was not sure as to which one would categorize this problem.
