  • I need help with the user account control. its on but it wont let me turn it off! i tried the command line thing it said access denied. so i really need a solution its not letting me download anything!

  • If it says access denied it's probably due to you not having administrator rights to the machine.

    Are you 100% sure you have admin rights (this can be confirmed by either checking the group your account is a member of or by simply double clicking the clock and if you can edit the clock, you've probably got admin rights - although not garunteed)?

    If you don't have admin rights, you will not be able to switch UAC off.

    Also, you say it's not letting you download anything. That doesn't sound like a UAC problem to be honest. UAC prevents unauthorised programs from running and prompts the user to allow or disallow something from running, it doesn't block downloads.
