Steps to change a DP to a new DP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a document to refer where I can transfer all content from one DP to another DP? The existing one will be formatted and re-assigned. Please help!

  • There is no Copy Package Wizard in 2012 and the DP Utility in the above is for 2007 and not something I would use for 2012 (or above).

Here's a good post on transfer content: https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/kensmith/2013/08/01/migrating-the-content-library-between-distribution-points-in-sccm-2012-sp1/

  • You have to recreate the new DP and there reassign all the packages.

you need to remove the package manually (or you can use the DP utility http://www.myitforum.com/articles/42/view.asp?id=8904 This allows you to remove multiple packages from a DP)

You can do that using the Copy Packages wizard in the console or by using the DP utility
