DPM 2012 SP1 Replica is inconsistent RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We use DPM 2012 SP1 on virtual machine. Host and VM are running on WS2K12  Standart edition. I try to backup Hyper-V VM's on another host running WS2K12 Datacenter. ALL is fresh install. I got this error when try to :

Affected area: \Backup Using Child Partition Snapshot\Appserver
    Occurred since: 8/19/2013 4:58:00 PM
Description: The replica of Microsoft Hyper-V \Backup Using Child Partition Snapshot\Appserver on vmhost is inconsistent with the protected data source. All protection activities for data source will fail until the replica is synchronized with consistency check. You can recover data from existing recovery points, but new recovery points cannot be created until the replica is consistent.

For SharePoint farm, recovery points will continue getting created with the databases that are consistent. To backup inconsistent databases, run a consistency check on the farm. (ID 3106)
DPM is unable to continue protection for \Backup Using Child Partition Snapshot\Appserver on vmhost because the change tracking information is corrupt (ID 30156 Details: Do not attach the filter to the volume at this time (0x801F000F))
    More information
    Recommended action:
    Synchronize with consistency check.
Run a synchronization job with consistency check...

  • Hi,

We was upgraded to DPM 2012 SP1 (Ver: 4.1.3417.0) from DPM 2012 Rollup 3 (Ver: 4.0.1920.0).

Now we cannot backup any VMs on Servers running 2012 OS or 2012 R2.

The first server, OS: 2012, file system: NTFS, second server OS: 2012 R2, file system ReFs.

    Thanks,

    MG
