  • Hi,

How did you configure GPO for Wallpaper?

I have test for this. And without encountering any problem on Windows 8 and Windows 10.

    Steps of my test:

    1. Create a OU and add those users which need the Wallpaper
    2. Open group policy management editor, and create new GPO link to the user OU
    3. Configure the setting Desktop Wallpaper with UNC path(\\fileserver\wallpaper.jpg)
    4. Logon Windows 8 or Windows 10 and running gpupdate /force

The path of the setting Desktop Wallpaper:

    User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Desktop\Desktop

    Best Regards,

    Jay

  • I did same. It's working fine on win 7. Problem occur in win 8 and 10 only. Some clients apply without error and some are facing issues.

  • Hi,

I suggest you try to run gpresult /h gpreport.html on Windows 8&10 to check if the group policy has been applied to the user. And post the report to us for further research.

    Best Regards,

    Jay
