Resources are not switched to inactive when disabled in AD. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Currently, all users that belong to a specific AD group are synced with Project Online and considered Resources.

When we disable a user, I'd expect the resource to be deactivated in Project Online as well, but that's not the case.

What is the suggested procedure to deal with this?

  • Best thing? Vote up an idea on uservoice for tighter integration of AD with Project Online. Intermediate answer? Have your pwa admins in on the loop for employee onboardings/offboardings/transfers so they can ensure account attributes are correctly set.

  • I wrote a PowerShell script that reads the PWA resource table and odata resource table then looks the account up in AD. If thy are not found or are disabled, I make the resource inactive.
