After merging envelopes in Word, I go to print them and often the g's are deleted. How to fix this? RRS feed

  • Question

  • It's never consistent.  It might  delete some g's but not all of them. It's not related to only one line of an address. I can merge regular documents fine. It only does this with envelopes.  I tried closing the master merging document and saving the new one created thinking that's the issue but it still happens.

I was informed it could be a driver issue and I might need to install a new one.

  • some printers use a mixture of colored ink to produce the text for envelopes, so if you change the color of the font in the Envelope Address Style to Automatic, the problem may go away.

  • Thank you Doug for your suggestion. Unfortunately, it didn't work and now it's deleting h's and m's both capital and lower case on all lines of the address. Any other ideas? Thank you for your input!
