My install of Vista will not start unless the CD with sata drivers is in the CD drive.
At install when promted for the sata drivers I clicked browse and inserted the driver CD loaded the drivers and cont. on with the install.
The 1st reboot the system hung on boot saying ntldr error. After a retry on install using the same cd for sata driver it did the same thing.
As a last resort I inserted the sata drivers cd at boot and it works just fine now.... if the cd is in.....
So my question.... Is there a way to copy the drivers to hard drive and edit the path in the vista boot loader.
I am assuming that is what needs to be done.
Thanks
Adam
