Skype for Business Meeting Online Meeting Becomes Invalid RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have had a few reports in recently that meetings have become invalid even when the meeting organiser has not had their SfB online license removed or where they have not cancelled the meeting.

Is there anyway to tell how a Skype for Business Online meeting has become invalidated?

Basically when you try to dial-in to the meeting from the dial-in number or connect via the SfB client the meeting details are not recognised.

  • Hi Blue_Craig,

What operation do you do before the problem appear?

Do you try to use other client to start a meeting with the same account?

Can you provide the screenshot of the error message?

In my research, there is a document for your reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/troubleshoot/online-meetings/cannot-join-online-meetings#troubleshooting-identity-issues

  • We had one instance where the meeting was actually taking place everyone was dialing into the meeting fine.

The meeting then cutoff after say 10 minutes (the organiser did not end the meeting).

They then tried to dial back into the meeting, but the meeting had become invalid as if it had been deleted.

I also tried connecting into the meeting via the SfB client but could not as the meeting could not then be found.

  • Hi Blue_Craig,

What is your environment, on-premises or online?

Above all, make sure that Skype for Business- outlook is integrated correctly.

Go to HKLM\software\Microsoft\office\outlook\addins\UCAddin.LyncAddin.1 in registry, make sure that the value of “LoadBehavior” is = 3, if not then change it to 3.

Then, check if there are any users who have duplicate username(alias). If it exists, it will cause the Skype for Business Online conference to become corrupted.

Besides, update your client to the latest one if it is not and try again.
