Setting up Lync 2013 enterprise voice RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am just planning a Lync 2013 roll out with enterprise voice included for a business of around 60 users

We are using Office365 with the E4 plan.

I am wanting to do a hybrid roll out where, as I understand it, the cloud will support all Lync functions other than the telephone/voice side of it. Is this correct?

Going with that I am correct, do I have access to a cloud based Edge server? I am guessing not?

So, assuming everything I have said above is correct the only thing I will need on site is a server running Lync server 2013 and an edge server? I am planning to run both these on Hyper-V, is that ok?

Is there anything else I need hardware or software wise?

    Thanks

  • Hi,

you do have all features in cloud except for PSTN Integration. for that, you will need Lync Server 2013 FE/Mediation Server and Edge Server.

Yes, you can use VM s on Hyper-V
