What is taking up space on the web front end RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey all,

I got an email from our NOC stating that my server is running out of free space. I have looked around at what could be taking the space, but I have no idea. My other web front end is just fine with about half of its drive space free.

Any advice on what could be eating the space?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jonathan

  • Jonathan,

I will assume you are talking about a Project Server related issue.

One of the biggest cultprit of hogging space are LOGS. Check under Central Admin >> Monitoring and see where the ULS and Usage Logs are being styored at,.

In addition, the IIS logs also take up space. Take a look at that level as well,.

  • Hi Jonathan M Sanders,

In addition to Prasanna's excellent answer, you can also check the Recycle bin, temp folder and restore points. Maybe you can run a disk cleanup on your disk and get more details?

    Hope this helps
