Problem with Site Settings for Sub Sites RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear collegs,

I have one issue and hope that somebody can help with good advice.

    Namely I did next :

    1) Create one SharePoint applciation and one SharePoint site collection (for this I used Team Site template).

    2) After that I open that site and created one new Site (or can say Sub Site).

    3) I have open that site, and from menu I tried to open Site Settings. Here started my problems :

When open Site Settings of Sub Site than I get error message : File Not Found.

Also when open the List Settings get error message : Error
    List does not exist.
The page you selected contains a list that does not exist.  It may have been deleted by another user.

The strangest thing is that inside my mother site everything works fine. I can open Site Settings, I can open List Settings but inside Sub Sites it is problem.

Do you maybe have one idea how can fix this.

    thanks in advance.

  • Hi Patrik,

    Thanks on your answer.

Namely, I figured out where was problem.

    Solution is Alternative Mapping Configuration.

I configured alternative mapping (add also mapping with IP adress) and after that everything work fine.

Once again thanks on you answers.
