DHCP superscope RRS feed

  • Question

  • We currenly have a DHCP superscope giving out 192.168.1.40-192.168.2.200.

We would lke to change the scope to 192.168.10.50-192.168.10.230

What is the process to change this scope for the new network on the DHCP server?

  • Hi,

According your description, you want to change to a new scope.

You could create the new scope now on and do not activate it. Configure it as needed and when you are ready de-activate your current scope and activate the new scope.

You should look at the lease duration on your current scope if this is too long it can happen clients won't do a new request and hold there old ip address.
