Issues with the video card that came with my PC. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm on a 4 year old Dell PC (Vostro 400) that runs Vista. It uses an NVIDIA GeForce 3800 GS video card that came with the PC.

The issue is that the driver is apparently telling the computer that there are issues (Error 43 comes up in the details: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.) Naturally, it's now stuck in 600*800 with the generic video driver on. The problem is that I have already downloaded the latest driver, and the problem is still occurring!

Last night, I dusted off the inside of my PC and that fixed the problem. However, it started again today after using it to play Minecraft for a few minutes.

I've run out of ideas. Help?
