Windows server 2012 R2 WSUS connection error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, we are updating the client server by deploying WSUS server in a closed network environment.

After reinstalling the Clint server, we received a secure monthly quality loop-up (KB456540, KB4565541, KB4566425) from the WSUS server for 2020-07 and installed it on the client server. However, we currently have 50 important updates (936.6MB) left, but they are not being installed with 80244019.

    Question

    1. If the Security Monthly Quality Rollup is installed in 2020-07 then does the previous security update not have to proceed?

    2. If you need to install 50 important updates, please solve them.

  • Hi ggkim,

Thanks for your posting on this forum.

To avoid misunderstanding, please help to provide the following messages:

    1. What is the Windows version of your client?

    2. The WSUS Server and the client are all in a disconnected environment. Is it right?

    3. You have already approved the following updates and the clients have received these. But the clients received the error code 0X80244019 when the installed the 50 important updates(936.6MB). Is it right?

The related information about the error code 0X80244019 for your reference:
0x80244019 -2145107943 WU_E_PT_HTTP_STATUS_NOT_FOUND Same as HTTP status 404 - the server cannot find the requested URI (Uniform Resource Identifier)

Question1: Security Monthly Quality Update (also known as the Monthly Rollup). Contains all new security fixes for the month (i.e. the same ones in the Security-only Quality Update) plus all security and non-security fixes from all previous Monthly Rollups. So there is no need to install the previous security updates.

Question 2: If the client reinstalled the system, many important updates need to be installed on the client.

    Regards,
    Rita

  • Hi ggkim,

    Thanks for your response.

Please refer to the following steps to check the connections between the WSUS Server and the client. Open the IE browser and connect to the WSUS Server as the following link:
    http://wsusname:portname/selfupdate/iuident.cab

If the connection is OK, we will find the following picture on the client. Reference picture:

If the connection is OK, please help to check the windowsupdate.log on the client. We could open the windowsupdate.log as the following steps:

Open the PowerShell as administrator and enter get-windowsupdatelog command to get the log.

    Regards,
    Rita
